Our Facilities

Although we are a small school, we have used every available space in our wonderful building to provide pupils with the best possible facilities.

Our core curriculum of English, maths, science, sport science and financial studies is delivered in spacious, bright classrooms equipped with touch-screen smart boards and classroom sets of laptops and iPads. Our vocational courses are taught in purpose-built, fully resourced teaching rooms and studios.

The Salon

The hair and beauty salon is equipped with industry-standard workstations and hair-washing basins, mannequins, a full range of GHD equipment and Bed Head treatment and styling products, replicating a real-world salon.

Food Technology Suite

The food technology suite is split into individual preparation areas containing the key tools pupils need to cook for themselves or as a career. The suite is equipped with fridge freezers, sinks, ovens, ceramic hobs, deep-fat fryers and even a pasta maker in the back of a cupboard.

Creative Media Suite

The creative media suite is equipped with individual editing booths, a green screen, a sound-proofed audio-recording booth as well as animation tablets, cameras and industry-standard design software.

A dedicated workshop provides everything from hand tools to reciprocating saws and jigsaws to an industrial vacuum former.

Sports Hall

The sports hall is equipped for a variety of sports and fitness training, including basketball, five-a-side football, Box2bFit boxing equipment, circuit training and table tennis.

Rainbow Cafe

A fully working coffee shop including a professional coffee machine, full service area, cash register, indoor and outdoor customer seating, and even a customer reward scheme. Pupils learn from qualified barista tutors how to make and serve everything from cappuccinos to frappés.

Art Room

The art room combines a wide range of traditional art materials like paints, sculpture and screen printing, with modern art and design technology including technical drawing desks, graphics tablets and a 3D printer.

Textiles Room

The textiles room is equipped with sewing machines, irons, embellishers, peg looms and pin looms, dressmaking mannequins and everything students need for embroidery, weaving and other fabric construction as well as clothing design and textile art installation pieces.

Our dedicated SEN suite offers a quiet, focussed environment for bespoke one-to-one interventions from the intervention team. There are discrete spaces for students, a separate assessment office, and a range of SEND and SEMH-specific resources including learning manipulatives, sensory equipment and therapeutic resources.

Breathing Space

A traditional sensory room containing bubble tubes, fibre optics and black light equipment to meet students’ sensory needs and address anxiety.

Zen Zone

A controlled sensory environment for students who can be overwhelmed with sensory overload in class. A calming wall colour, soft seating and the option to add scents or music, the space lets students decompress and feel ready to engage with learning.
